Our Story

Hetman House Media was born in Central Oregon in 2023 — but the roots run deeper than that.

Founder Pete Sahaidachny spent over a decade in the San Francisco Bay Area agency world, building and scaling paid media and digital programs for some of the most recognizable names in tech and beyond — Meta, Google, PayPal, Sunrun, Team USA, and others. He's since built a tight network of collaborators who share that same pedigree: 10+ years of agency experience, hands-on and battle-tested.

Leaving San Francisco for the peaks of Central Oregon taught Pete one thing: the right strategy changes everything — whether you're managing a mountain descent or a media budget.

Hetman House exists to bring that caliber of thinking to ambitious, growth-focused brands — without the agency bloat. No layers, no fluff. Just performance-driven paid media across Google and Meta, built around real data and a genuine understanding of what actually moves the needle.

We work with brands that are serious about growth and want a strategic partner, not just someone to babysit a dashboard.

Outside of client work, Pete is a proud Central Oregon local — most days found on the trails or the slopes of Mt. Bachelor with his family and their dog.

What’s in the name?

Hetman (het-mən) is a historical moniker steeped in Ukrainian history and evoking images of courageous leadership and unwavering spirit. Most notably Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny.

The term "hetman" shows up across several Eastern European cultures, but it has a particularly deep and central place in Ukrainian history. The word itself derives from the German Hauptmann (literally "head man" or "captain"), which entered the region via Polish (hetman) and Czech (hejtman). So its origin is Germanic, transmitted through West Slavic languages.

In the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, "hetman" was the title for the top military commanders starting in the 15th–16th centuries. But where the term took on its most distinctive identity was among the Ukrainian Cossacks. The hetman was the elected head of the Zaporozhian Cossack Host and later the leader of the Cossack Hetmanate (the Ukrainian Cossack state that existed roughly from 1648 to 1764).

The Hetman House Media Philosophy

Great advertising isn't just about chasing the latest technology. It comes down to four questions:

  • What's your message?

  • Who are you reaching?

  • How will you reach them?

  • What does success look like?

The "magic bullet" platform is a persistent myth. Real results come from research, planning, optimization, and experience. Advanced tools can help — but only in the hands of someone who makes them serve the strategy, not the other way around.

Before adopting anything new, ask one question: does this actually move the campaign forward?

Experience matters.
